Calling All Prostate Cancer Cells!

In case you are wondering, the likelihood of men getting prostate cancer if they live long enough is 100%. You can trust me on this one. My dad was a urologist. The good news is that if you contract it later in life, it is a very slow growing thing. But the treatments have been kind of nasty.
There is some good news. It appears that old duffers like me can breathe a sigh of relief. A new treatment using ultrasound can kill of the cancer cells in the prostate without damaging the other healthy cells. Here is a quote
“We’re optimistic that men diagnosed with prostate cancer may soon be able to undergo a day-case surgical procedure, which can be safely repeated once or twice, to treat their condition with very few side effects. That could mean a significant improvement in their quality of life.”
Significant improvement? I’d say that is an understatement.
