Quick Quote - Microsoft’s Slow Decline

Jiom Kwak has a nice post at The Baseline Scenario about Microsoft’s decision to issue long term debt. He offers this quote

… the fact that (Microsoft) has become a sinkhole where talent goes in and nothing new comes out is sad.

Tom Peters goes further and argues that this becomes true of all large companies sooner or later. So why is the media so preoccupied with big companies? Haven’t we learned that they look good when markets are growing, and look very fragile when they are not?

I wonder why the media doesn’t write more about SME’s as market leaders rather than as an after thought? Just a thought.
