We are Entering the Gaming Era … Hold onto Your Wallet!
A while ago, QT started posting about the effects that web based games were having on the development of the internet. It seemed then (and more so now) that using gaming strategies made perfect sense for many web business models.
This NYT article about people who are starting to pay for web game resources is a next step. As people get more committed to spending time on the web, they will be spending more and more money there for a variety of things, including but not limited to Miss USA tiaras to play Sorority Life.
FOLLOW - And of course, there are other ways that gaming may get people interested in upgrades. Check out this article about a new game from Sony called “Uncharted 2″. The game is designed to look like a feature film — meaning you may want to upgrade to a large HD screen. And BTW, that chair …. wouldn’t an Eames lounger feel more comfortable?
