Making Connections
Last night we had a lot of fun at Domus Dorpatensis trying to peer into the future. Is the Estonian high growth era over? Is the party over? I argued that it is in one sense. We are not likely to see high growth from the industries that fueled our economic expansion to date — especially finance and real estate development. But in another sense, the party hasn’t really started yet. Estonia could jump back into high growth if we can nurture “cycles of innovation”. We just need to learn how to do that.
I am betting that if we keep talking about this, we will step by step take over the idea. Let’s see.
