Hooray for the DMCA and YouTube!
An important decision was just handed down in New York in the YouTube/Viacom case. The federal court granted Google’s summary judgment motion and held that the safe habour protections of the DMCA protect Google from claims that its clients upload copyrighted materials. This is a very, very big decision and in my humble view a good one for all of us. Now for that Mediaset case in Italy ….
