At some point the software industry is going to have to do something about this. We seem to not be able to rely on the government to take action that will affect change. I can only hope there are other leaders in the software industry, especially the amazing developers creating the innovations in the first place, who will take some collective action before it’s too late.
Right. With all due respect, I think Brad might have done better with this text. He argues that there is an urgent problem and throws out a challenge to his friends in the software industry. And then he punts by saying “I can only hope that … other leaders … will (do something).” (emphasis added)
Sorry Brad - why don’t you do something? At a minimum, why don’t you invite people to your cause instead of punting? This is what leaders do, right?
