How Do You See the World?
In his editorial today, Tom Friedman argues that corporate CEO’s see the world differently than political leaders. Good point, Tom. They do. As Tom writes
Politicians see the world as blocs of voters living in specific geographies — and they see their job as maximizing the economic benefits for the voters in their geography. Many C.E.O.’s, though, increasingly see the world as a place where their products can be made anywhere through global supply chains (often assembled with nonunion-protected labor) and sold everywhere.
Ok, but what about the rest of us? What about the folks who are looking for great stories to connect with? Looking for great people to meet and work with? How do we see the world? For my money, that is an even more interesting question.
