Over at Giga, Om Malik offers an important post on the future of social networking. It is now a truism that Facebook et al are not the answer, these fragmented and incomplete services just raise a question — how will a dynamic system evolve that allows isolated “me” to use any and all networking systems that “me” (my avatar) wants. Om suggests that the options are a federated Facebook, a web super-aggregator, or a super blogging tool.
